Ten minutes from downtown and the Riverwalk
Nail Salon in Bradenton, FL
Serving Bradenton, FL and ZIP 34205, 34208 from Cortez Plaza. About 10 minutes south of downtown Bradenton.
L.A Nails serves Bradenton, FL from 4525 14th St W in Cortez Plaza, roughly ten minutes south of downtown along 14th Street West. We provide manicures, pedicures, gel and acrylic nails, dip powder, extensions, nail art and eyebrow waxing six days a week. Downtown residents typically reach us in under fifteen minutes with free parking on arrival.
Downtown Bradenton has changed considerably over the past decade. The Riverwalk, the Village of the Arts, the restaurants on Old Main Street and the residential conversions around Wares Creek have created a walkable core with a population that goes out in the evenings. What has not changed is that most retail service businesses sit south of downtown along the 14th Street corridor — which is where we are.
The run from 34205 down 14th Street West takes about ten minutes outside rush hour, with no bridges, no tolls and no downtown parking situation at the other end. Bradenton clients also book differently: downtown and Village of the Arts residents come in more often for nail art and colour-led work, and we see a noticeable uptick around gallery events and the winter market season.
Coming from central and east Bradenton
From downtown and the Riverwalk
Head south on 14th Street West from the Manatee River — a straight run of about four miles to Cortez Road, with the plaza on your right just before the intersection.
From the Village of the Arts
Take 9th or 14th Street West south past 26th Avenue to Cortez Road. Roughly ten minutes, and it avoids the Manatee Avenue congestion entirely.
From Wares Creek and Fogartyville
Cut east to 14th Street West via 17th Avenue or Manatee Avenue, then head south. Alternatively 26th Street West south to Cortez Road and east when 14th is backed up.
From east Bradenton and US-301
Take Cortez Road west from US-301. The plaza is about two miles along on the north side, just before the 14th Street West junction.
Nails for a Bradenton calendar
Bradenton runs on an event calendar most nail guides ignore — the De Soto Heritage Festival, the Blues Festival, Riverwalk events through the cooler months and a steady run of weddings from October to May. They all generate the same conversation in this chair: I need these to look right on a specific date and last through a weekend.
The planning advice is straightforward. Book your gel or acrylic set three to four days before the event, not the day before and not two weeks out — that leaves time to fix a lifted nail with no visible regrowth in photographs. For detailed art, book a separate longer appointment and mention the design when you call. For downtown residents who walk a lot and spend evenings out, gel over natural nails is usually the right call rather than a full enhancement.

Standards you can watch happen
These apply to every service in the salon, and every one of them is something you can watch happen. If you want to know how to judge this at any salon, use our 12-point sanitation checklist.
- Files, buffers and toe separators are single-use and disposed of after every client.
- Metal implements are cleaned and sterilised between uses.
- Pedicure basins are drained, scrubbed and disinfected between every client.
- Dip powder is poured into a clean tray per client — never a shared jar.
- Cuticles are pushed back, not aggressively cut. Only dead tissue and hangnails are removed.
- Gel, dip and acrylic are removed by acetone soak-off, never scraped or pried off.
- You can ask for your technician by name — we book you with the same person every time.

Questions
Bradenton — frequently asked questions
How far is L.A Nails from downtown Bradenton?
About four miles, or ten to fifteen minutes straight south on 14th Street West. There are no bridges or tolls on the route and free parking is available directly outside the salon at Cortez Plaza.
Can I get nail art done for a Bradenton event?
Yes. Call (941) 752-7026 in advance and describe the design, or bring a reference photo. Detailed freehand work needs dedicated time, so booking ahead gets you a much better result than walking in on a busy Friday afternoon.
When should I book my nails before a wedding in Bradenton?
Three to four days before the date. That leaves a window to repair a lifted nail, and it means no visible regrowth in photographs. Have a trial set about three weeks earlier if you want to test a colour or design first.
Do you do eyebrow waxing as well as nails?
Yes. Brow shaping, upper lip, chin and full-face waxing are all available and can be added to a nail appointment. A brow wax takes about ten minutes — mention it when you book so the time is allocated.
