We stay conservative on a first visit: it is easy to take more off next time, and six to eight weeks to grow back what should not have come off.

How a waxing appointment works
The whole brow service takes about ten minutes. The parts that matter are at the start and the end.
Shape mapping and contraindication check
We look at your natural arch, brow bone width and where the brows sit relative to your eyes, and agree the shape first. We also ask about retinoids, acids, recent sun and medication that thins skin.
Cleanse and prep
The area is cleansed of makeup, sunscreen and oil, then a pre-wax product protects the skin. Oily or sunscreened skin makes the wax grip skin instead of hair, which is what makes waxing hurt.
Wax application and removal
Wax goes on with the hair growth and comes off against it while the skin is held taut. Held properly, a brow wax is a few seconds of sharp sensation rather than sustained pain.
Tweezing the strays
Wax removes the bulk. A few hairs always sit outside the shape or grow at an angle wax will not catch. This finishing stage is what makes a shape look deliberate rather than approximate.
Soothe and aftercare
A calming lotion settles the redness, which fades within an hour on the brow. Keep the area away from sun, heat, exfoliants and makeup for 24 hours — the Florida sun being the relevant one.

Which areas you have done
Brow, upper lip, chin and sideburns are individually priced, and a full-face package covering all of them costs less than the same areas booked separately. Most clients start with brows and add one area at a time.
Full reshape versus maintenance
A first appointment or a full reshape after months of growth takes longer than a three-week maintenance wax on an established shape. Coming back on a regular interval genuinely costs less per visit.
Amount of tweezing required
Coarse or scattered growth outside the wax line needs individual removal, which adds time. Brows that have been repeatedly tweezed into an unusual shape also take longer on the first visit while we work out what to leave.

Aftercare, timing and when not to wax
Do not wax if you are using a retinoid, have had a chemical peel in the last week, or are sunburned — each thins the skin to the point where waxing can lift the surface layer. That matters more here than most places: a weekend on the water is a genuine reason to postpone until midweek. Before an event, wax two to three days ahead rather than the morning of, so redness settles fully in photographs.

How long does eyebrow waxing last?
Three to four weeks for most people. Regrowth speed varies with hair thickness and hormones, and the interval tends to lengthen slightly with consistent appointments because the follicles are being cleared on a regular cycle rather than sporadically.
Does eyebrow waxing hurt?
It is a few seconds of sharp sensation per strip rather than sustained pain. Holding the skin taut during removal is what keeps it manageable. It is more uncomfortable in the days just before a period, so schedule accordingly if you are sensitive.
Do you double-dip the wax applicator?
Never. Once an applicator has touched your skin it does not go back into the pot. This is a basic sanitation standard and it is worth checking at any salon or spa you visit — watch the first application and you will know immediately.
How long does hair need to be to wax?
About a quarter of an inch, roughly two to three weeks of growth. Shorter than that and the wax cannot grip properly, which means patchy removal and a second pass over already-sensitised skin. Resist tweezing in the two weeks before your appointment.
Can I get waxed on the same visit as my nails?
